Special Programs Meeting on 01/10/2013

Participants: Beth Otto, Sharon Freenor

Quarter SMART Goal: At the present time, the PLT team determined that we need to find alternative ways to help all students to make progress across the school environment.

Minutes: Team discussed transition to high school. What is the appropriate course of study? What data is needed to support the decision? Team must convene…if OCS is considered, then letter needs to be provided and discussions should be ongoing.

Special Programs Meeting on 01/03/2013

Participants: Beth Otto, Sharon Freenor

Quarter SMART Goal: At the present time, the PLT team determined that we need to find alternative ways to help all students to make progress across the school environment.

Minutes: Data for present levels of academic performance were discussed. Samples of charts and data collection tables were explored. Strengths and needs were delineated. What local and state assessments can help with the present levels were also examined. Benchmark testing was looked at as another additional piece of the puzzle.

Special Programs Meeting on 12/20/2012

Quarter SMART Goal: At the present time, the PLT team determined that we need to find alternative ways to help all students to make progress across the school environment.

Minutes: Team discussed how a student’s emotional outlook on a given day will influence how they access learning. Many students need a calming time in order to refocus on learning. The use of emotional thermometers were discussed. A sample was constructed and explained.

Quarter SMART Goal: At the present time, the PLT team determined that we need to find alternative ways to help all students to make progress across the school environment.

Minutes: Specific targeted social and behavior skills were discussed and identified. Social skills lessons such as personal space were modeled. Student typical reactions were discussed.

Quarter SMART Goal: At the present time, the PLT team determined that we need to find alternative ways to help all students to make progress across the school environment.

Minutes: Social skills and behavior skills lessons were explored. How do these skills keep certain students from making progress across the school environment? Strategies explored explored such as the marble in the jar activity.
