Quarter SMART Goal: Eighty percent of our CA students will pass 3 out of 4 of their core classes.
Minutes: The rising sixth grade committee worked on checking IEP’ service deliveries against the projected schedules. Each track was checked against the most recent indicator to ensure that schedules will be correct for the 2013- 2014 school year.

Minutes: We discussed ideas for CA after EOG and Grades have been completed. What do we want students to know to prepare for the next grade level?
Track 1 sixth grade students are working on reading and responding to articles on non-fiction, content specific material. This will help build vocabulary and comprehension skills. We are looking for reading passages that will be interesting and engaging with the students.
The team also discussed working on basic math calculation skills with fractions and decimals.
For eighth grade students, self advocacy skills and learning to plan for studying and completing work in high school. We talked about preparing a “survival guide” for our rising ninth graders.

Minutes: Team discussed incoming sixth grade students. Service delivery has been done completely and correctly for most of them. Sixth grade schedules will be checked and completed based on actual services on the IEP. The CA PLT will help with hand schedules next week.
High School Transition meeting is tonight. The High School team will sort the information to take to the meeting tonight. Wakefield will come today and we will give the department chair the information for Wakefield then. Sanderson will pickup information on Monday.

Minutes: The team discussed transition meetings for today. We talked about ways to make sure parents are greeted when they come and make sure that they know where to go.
We discussed calling parents about end of year awards.
We began discussion about how we can more efficiently implement procedures within our department.
