Quarter SMART Goal: 85% CA students will pass 3 out of 4 core classes.
Minutes: We discussed ideas for CA after EOG and Grades have been completed. What do we want students to know to prepare for the next grade level?
Track 1 sixth grade students are working on reading and responding to articles on non-fiction, content specific material. This will help build vocabulary and comprehension skills. We are looking for reading passages that will be interesting and engaging with the students.
The team also discussed working on basic math calculation skills with fractions and decimals.
For eighth grade students, self advocacy skills and learning to plan for studying and completing work in high school. We talked about preparing a “survival guide” for our rising ninth graders.
