Quarter SMART Goal: Students will be working in a collaborative setting 60-70% of the time during classroom instruction.

Minutes: We will complete our next benchmark data analysis next Thursday. Ms. Suttles was not able to get a CA lab due to Track 1 testing, so she has to hold off on administering the benchmark.

We looked at Common Core materials focused on the Interwar Years and the Post War Years. Michelle shared materials on the Great Depression and the lead up to the Great Depression.

Monica showed a MSL practice sheet that would make it easier to review student responses to DBQ’s.

We decided to create a DBQ on WWII and use the practice sheet to answer the questions.

Minutes: Today’s Discussion:
Reviewed the final benchmark that is optional. Discovered many mistakes in the format of the test, and realized it switched back to more text than visual imagery. Therefore we decided to pick up DBQ practice, and discussed making an answer template sheet where students would practice answering the questions in the thre ways that will be possible on the MSL.

We reviewed the rubrics to grade the MSL and discussed how we would fairly grade the assessments.

We will review the benchmark data next week once track 4 gets the results back.

Minutes: We discussed how we will cover the topics for the rest of our units. We shared “Flocabulary” strategies and “Crash Course.” Discussed the future introduction of technology.

Minutes: We shared our practices on the Industrial Revolution. I had given Mrs. Gropp a unit on the revolution and I am sharing this with Jeff. We looked @ testing and discussed our thoughts on how to improve our scores without drastically modifying the curriculum

Minutes: We discussed how to improve our benchmarks by using test questions similar to these tests. We agreed to each take a turn and provide an example using a primary source, political cartoons, graphs, and charts.
