PLT Minutes

Participants: Ashley D., Brian H., Kylene T., (M. Root is tracked out)

Quarter SMART Goal: To have students who scored level 3 on the EOG score a 77% or higher on the Quarter Benchmark.
To have students who scored level 4 on the EOG score an 90% or higher on the Quarter Benchmark

Minutes: Discussed placements for next year and benchmark/EOG grid response questions. We are seeing high level students make careless errors on the grid response questions. We discussed how a hand graded response would be more effective in seeing if a student has mastered a concept.

Discussed the 3rd quarter benchmark assessment results and analyzed them as a PLT with the analysis tool to be emailed to Sue Parks for our School Improvement Process.

Participants: Bass, Carson, Dooley

Quarter SMART Goal: All seventh grade math students will show growth in math as determined by pre-test, benchmarks and EOG.

Minutes: We discussed fourth quarter lessons, projects and preparation for EOG.
Mrs. Bass discussed her 3rd quarter Benchmark results and we shared what we had gathered at our last EOG.
The CMAPP review provides helpful power point information, excellent practice for the grid in section, and thorough Jeopardy games for each strand.
We discussed literacy strategies that were beneficial to us this year.
We also looked forward to the first semester next year, and discussed how to use the hands on equations and calculators for core, and for pre-algebra plus classes.
