It’s hard to believe that in just a few more days, we will be starting another wonderful school year! With that said, here are a few important details about our first day of school and about our meet the teacher evenings:
First Day of School
This year, our first day of school is going to look a little different than in the past. When students arrive at school, they will be greeted by staff and guided to a designated area, where they will receive their homeroom assignments. 6th graders will gather in the auditorium and will sit by tracks. 7th and 8th graders will report to the gym and will also sit by tracks. Tracks will be clearly marked in both the gym and auditorium, and several teachers will be on hand to guide students to the appropriate area and pass out homeroom assignments. At 8:30, we will begin the dismissal process. 8th grade will be released by tracks and will be escorted to homeroom by the track’s teachers to receive their schedules. 7th and 6th grade will then be dismissed respectively to their homerooms to receive their schedules. This day will be dedicated to familiarizing our students with our schools processes and procedures and to getting to know our students. We will go through this same process when Track 4 tracks back in on July 30th.
Meet the Teacher Nights
Again, this year, we will be hosting “Meet the Teachers” nights the second week of school. This is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about classes and what your child will be learning for the year. The dates and times of our “Meet the Teachers” nights will be:
- Track 1: Wednesday, July 18th from 6:00-7:00
- Tracks 2 & 3: Thursday, July 19th from 6:00-7:00
- Track 4: Tuesday, August 7th from 6:00-7:00
