Labs and Quizzes

This week we will have three different lab activities on our way toward the first summative assessment of the year: the Nature of Science Quiz. Students will take this quiz on Friday, and receive the scores on Monday, August 3. We will spend time on Thursday creating a Study Guide in our notebooks and practicing some study strategies.

A Completely Lab-alicious Week!

This third week of the school year brings our first (and second) labs of the year! Get ready to measure paper towels and mass, and we'll begin using Voicethread as well. Also, don't forget that Wednesday is our first Early Release Day of the year. You'll have lunch at school, but no Electives or Health classes, and you'll go home at 12:10 PM.

Week 2: Procedures and Safety

As the school year rolls on, we spend this week discussing Classroom Procedures and Lab Safety. Students will receive the Lab Safety Contract which must be returned before students can participate in lab activities. Also, Mrs. Deen (the guidance counselor) will spend Wednesday in class working with all students.

Students will receive their SPAN passwords (for viewing grades, attendance, and discipline referrals) on Tuesday.
