Attend one of the following Battle of the Books Informational meetings to find out more information and ask any questions you might have:

- Tuesday, November 12 (track 3) @ 3pm in the DRMS media center
Battle of the Books is a competition-based book club sponsored by Ms. Ziller. Each year, the North Carolina School Library and Media Association establishes a list of 25-30 titles for North Carolina middle school students. These books include a variety of genres, publication dates, and authors. Most titles are shelved in the fiction section of the media center.
Organized Battle of the Books practices begin in November on Thursdays. Students from all tracks and grade levels may participate. The DRMS Battle of the Books team is chosen in February and team members continue weekly practices to prepare for the Wake County competition in the spring. In preparation for this competition, students are encouraged to read all books on the list, keep track of important details from each novel, and write their own practice questions. Be sure to pick up a blue Battle of the Books list in the media center. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Barnes Cardinale (518-0044 or EMAIL)
