This Friday, DRMS will hold its first dance of the year in the cafeteria. Sixth graders will get their groove on from 3 PM to 5 PM, and seventh and eighth graders will boogie from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. Tickets cost $4 and can be purchased at the door or at lunch from Wednesday to Friday.
Parents are needed to chaperone in the dance area or volunteer to help in the concession stand.
Student pickup and dropoff will be in the bus parking lot. September 15, 2009
During next Friday's Spirit Dance on September 25, the DRMS Technology Contacts are presenting a workshop on Internet Safety for parents of Durant Road Middle School students. The workshop will take place in the Media Center from 6:15 to 8:15 PM, during the seventh and eighth grade dance. Topics will include cyberbullying, privacy, and online predators.

Parents of Academically Gifted students are invited to join Mrs. Earnest, our AG Coordinator, at DRMS on September 25 at 7:15 AM, 12:00 PM, or 4:00 PM. She will answer questions and present program information for the 2009-2010 academic year.
